Breastfeeding testimony for a mother of triplets
Share
My name is Lisbeth Adames
Today I want to tell you my testimony of what breastfeeding was like for me with the help of Prolactarrd ❤️
I gave birth to the LE💚💙💛 Trillis at 37 weeks gestation, they were premature and according to their particular development they were 34, 35 and 36 weeks.
They were in an incubator for 9 days.
A few days after giving birth, my blood pressure went up, so I had to stay in the hospital for observation.
With a lot of pain from the cesarean section, I extracted what I could to take to my babies, although small amounts, I wanted to give them the best of me.
It wasn't until the 8th day that I was allowed to hit my babies and I haven't stopped hitting them since then.
I tell all the first-time mothers I know that the breast has always been an ally for me.
Breastfeeding has been more of a comfort and support for the LE Trillis than food 💚💙💛
Breastfeeding has been one of the biggest challenges of my motherhood. As you can imagine, three newborns require a lot of care at the same time, so I couldn't pump as much as I would have liked.
The LE Trillis 💚💙💛 were given formula at the clinic because the milk they were producing was nowhere near enough, which did not stop them from trying to give them the best in terms of nutrition.
I decided to give them as much breast milk as I could, several bottles a day, close together during the day and fighting for the breast at night, we managed to overcome the growth spurts, the most intense being when they turned 12 months old.
Today only one is still breastfed, since the other two weaned themselves, 1 at 14 months and the other at about 8 months.
Without a date or intention to wean, we will continue until the baby wants to.
For me it has been a privilege to have @prolactarrd on this arduous journey of motherhood of multiples
Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart ❤️
The LE Trillis 💚💙💛 also thank you🥰
